I made a selection out of my background
o I did this by using the magic wand tool and clicking on the background because it is completely white and would allow me to make a nice selection out of the background which I would then in turn use to cut everything out.
• Refined edges
o I then refined the edges by clicking the option to ‘select and mask’
                  ▪ I brought the feather up and shifted the edge percentage up
                  ▪ This ultimately gave me two separate selections
                  ▪ After I separated the selections I inversed them by clicking select and inverse
• Duplicating Layers
o I then selected my ‘layer 0’ and used ctrl/cmd +J to duplicate pieces onto a new layer which would then be titled ‘layer 1’
o I then hid ‘layer 0’ to remove the background
• Selecting Layers
o I then used the lasso tool to make a selection around each one of the separated pieces
o On that layer, I hit ctrl/cmd +x to cut this piece selection
o Then I hit shift+ctrl/cmd+v to paste it onto a new layer
o I repeated this for the second piece
• Lining up the Layers
o I used ‘V’ for the move tool and started moving the different layers around to connect the two pieces
• Spot Healing
o I used this tool to get rid of all the blemishes and scratches on the photo
